Decree No. 2019/2300/PM of 18 July 2019

The Prime Minister’s Office publishes the institutional page and the official decree PDF. The document sets out implementation rules for Law No. 2015/012 and conditions for operating and controlling entertainment, gambling and games of chance.

Provisions useful when checking a site

  • Article 3: activities fall under concession, authorisation or declaration regimes according to their category.
  • Article 16: a person who has not reached civil majority may not participate in casinos, betting or public lotteries.
  • Online gambling: the decree contains provisions for internet operation, but their existence does not validate any particular domain.
  • Control: the responsible authority and required documents carry more weight than a logo or isolated marketing claim.

Cameroon Odds applies a 21+ editorial standard. The decree refers to civil majority; an official Cameroon response filed with the United Nations in 2017 states that civil majority is 21. This page will be revised if a newer primary source changes that position.

Practical application

Before depositing, connect the operator name, claimed number, activity, validity period and final domain. Use the MINAT verification protocol for that task. Then check the XAF cashier and withdrawal separately: authorisation does not guarantee a payment, and a credited deposit does not establish authorisation.

The decree supplies the framework. The current status of any brand still requires dated evidence tied to the exact domain being used.
